What fabrics do you stock?

At Dizzy Daisy Fabric Studio, we stock a range of high-quality fabric bases suitable for handmade clothing, accessories, and small business makers.

Our range may include:

I’m new to sewing, how do I know what fabric to choose?

We try to make fabric shopping as beginner-friendly as possible by including fabric descriptions, stretch information, and recommended uses on product listings.

If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us before ordering and we’ll happily help guide you toward the right base for your project.

    Do colours look the same on every fabric base?

    Not always.

    The same print can appear slightly different depending on the fabric base due to texture, composition, and how each fabric absorbs ink.

    For example, colours may appear softer on woven fabrics compared to cotton lycra.

    What is the difference between Cotton Lycra and Cotton Woven?

    Cotton Lycra is a stretch fabric commonly used for:

    • clothing
    • bike shorts
    • dresses
    • babywear
    • everyday apparel

    Cotton Woven has little to no stretch and is better suited for:

    • dresses
    • shirts
    • bows
    • accessories
    • structured projects

    Will my fabric be sent in one continuous cut?

    Where possible, yes.

    However, some orders may occasionally be supplied in multiple cuts depending on stock availability unless otherwise stated.

    What does GSM mean?

    GSM stands for “grams per square metre” and refers to the weight/thickness of the fabric.

    Generally:

    • lower GSM = lighter fabric
    • higher GSM = thicker/heavier fabric

    How do I care for my fabric?

    We recommend:

    • cold gentle wash
    • mild detergent
    • avoid harsh chemicals or bleach
    • line dry where possible
    • avoid excessive heat

    As with all handmade textiles, proper care will help extend the life of your fabric and finished garments.

    Do you offer pre-orders?

    Yes!

    We regularly run pre-orders for exclusive prints and collections.

    Estimated turnaround times for pre-orders will always be listed on the product page.

    Please note that if your order contains pre-order items, your full order will ship once all items are ready unless separate shipping has been purchased.

    Can I return fabric if I change my mind?

    Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind purchases.

    If there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can help resolve it.

    Do you restock sold out prints?

    Sometimes!

    Some prints return due to popular demand, while others remain exclusive limited releases.
